Crochet Coral Reef Project
Recently, the Crochet Coral Reef Project was featured in the Baltimore Examiner newspaper, but we wanted to bring readers of the Bryn Mawr eNews an update.
The Middle School Crochet Coral Reef mini display has been installed in two cases in Centennial Hall Lobby, and it includes about 100 crochet pieces from 12 students, 3 teachers, and 4 friends of Bryn Mawr. The display incorporates text that was written by 7th-grade students who were researching coral reefs for their SWI projects. Sixth-grade students contributed computer art “fish paintings.” Ms. Rebecca Morris’ father, an avid scuba diver, contributed beautiful underwater photographs of corals.
The display will remain in place through the middle of March. Ms. Morris and her students invite everyone in the Bryn Mawr community to contribute additional crochet pieces to the model reef!
