Happy October, Mawrtian families and fans! It’s been a pleasure to see so many of you at our spectacular September events. With hearts that are glad, we’ve welcomed spectators back to athletic competitions, held in-person Spirit and Founders Days, and enjoyed opening picnics, retreats, convocations and more. I think I speak for many when I say how delighted we are to be reunited as a community.
Students are in the groove of classes and activities, and I appreciate how many parents and guardians joined us for our (hopefully-last-ever-virtual…) divisional Parent Nights. Parent support can make the difference between a good experience at school and a great one, so please stay engaged and connected with your child’s team.
September was busy but there’s plenty more to do in October. This week the Bryn Mawr Parent Association Wellness Committee virtually hosts Michelle Icard to hear about 14 important conversations to have with your child. We will re-welcome (in person!) our 2020 new families at Thursday night’s Oktoberfest in the Carey Quad. Later in the month we hope to see you for playoff games, Trunk or Treat sponsored by the ‘22 Seniors, or the Upper School production of The Addams Family. Our Admissions Open House will also take place October 23, so prospective families will have a chance to see the school. And finally, at the very end of the month we will see you for Parent Conferences to check in on your child’s progress. Keep your eye on the calendar for opportunities to get involved!
