Frequently Asked Questions About The Fund for Bryn Mawr

List of 8 frequently asked questions.

  • Q: What is The Fund for Bryn Mawr?

The Fund for Bryn Mawr is the School’s annual giving campaign. The school strives to minimize tuition, which covers the basic costs for operating a successful school. Each year, all members of our community (parents, faculty, staff, trustees, alumnae, grandparents, and friends) are asked to make a tax-deductible gift to Bryn Mawr. It is difficult to imagine what The Bryn Mawr School would look like without the generous financial contributions that have been made throughout the years. Contributions to The Fund for Bryn Mawr directly benefit our students and faculty while enhancing the school’s programs. For example, your investment in the impacts our students by providing uniforms for athletes, easels for the art program, books for the classrooms, and technology tools and consumable supplies for the Innovation Lab and Makerspaces.
  • Q: Why doesn’t Bryn Mawr simply raise tuition?

We strongly believe that Bryn Mawr is enhanced by attracting exceptional students and by engaging students who represent diverse cultural and socioeconomic groups in our community. Keeping the cost of tuition as affordable as possible ensures a Bryn Mawr education is within reach of more families. Additionally, donations to The Fund for Bryn Mawr are tax-deductible, while tuition is not.
  • Q: Why is my participation important?

While we rely on the generosity of leadership gifts, please know that every gift is needed and important. We truly value participation in The Fund for Bryn Mawr. At any level, participation demonstrates your commitment to The Bryn Mawr School.
