Valerie Dzielski is a soprano and voice teacher currently based in Baltimore, MD. She nurtures her students to be independent and emotive musicians who are self-motivated to practice and perform because it’s fun and rewarding to learn and share music.

As a masters student at The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, Valerie engages with diverse, relevant repertoire to deepen her understanding of the voice, language, musicology, and artistic communication.

In 2023, Valerie was awarded the Polish American Arts Association Scholarship for her study of Polish diction and her efforts in sharing Polish art song with a broader audience. Valerie sings with the Peabody Renaissance Ensemble as a chorister and soloist.

Valerie’s choral background and classical voice studies led her to complete a BM in Voice Performance at Westminster Choir College where she also took classes on pedagogy and voice science. She toured with ensembles including Schola Cantorum, Jubilee Singers, and the Westminster Concert Handbell Choir. As a soprano in Symphonic Choir, she performed masterworks with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the Kimmel Center, including Bach B Minor Mass, Mozart Requiem, and Ravel’s L’Enfant et Les Sortilèges.

Valerie is a cantor and vocal fellow at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen. She has previously sang at the Basilica of the Assumption in Baltimore and the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona, PA.
