Each rising second grader is strongly encouraged to read, either alone or with someone older. Our summer goal is for each student to achieve 600 minutes of reading!  Here are some authors and series we think you’ll enjoy. This list includes poetry, chapter books and picture books. We Need Diverse Books and Goodreads are also great sources of books to read anytime. Please record on the reading log located on the LS Library webpage all books you read alone and that are read to you. Audio books are also a good option.
