This program will reinforce reading and writing skills acquired in the previous grade and prepare students for the increased complexity of the texts they will read at the next level. Each student will have the opportunity to improve writing skills through drafting and revision. Small group discussions, immediate teacher feedback, and leveled reading assignments will build each student’s confidence and ability to succeed in upcoming English classes.
