Get in the game with this fun introduction to lacrosse! Players will learn the fundamentals—throwing, catching, and scooping ground balls—through engaging drills and exciting games. Mouthguards and goggles are required; sticks and goggles will be provided or bring your own.
Tennis with Friends
Grades - 3-6
Have fun with some friends while improving your tennis skills and eye-hand coordination. We will work on improving the fundamental skills with fun games and some drills. No experience required!

Each session is packed with hands-on activities, fun crafts, interactive games, and engaging read-alouds that bring space to life. Join us for all things relaxing! If you need a moment in the middle of the week to recharge and relax, this is the Gateways for you. Crafts, coloring, music, meditation, and more - anything that helps us feel calm!
Sewing and Embroidery Basics
Grades: 4-5
Discover the art of sewing and embroidery as you learn essential stitches and decorative techniques. Using a stitch sampler, you'll master both beginner and advanced stitches over six weeks. A background in beginner sewing skills is helpful but not required—just bring your creativity!
Art Club
Grades: 6-8
Do you have an art project you want to work on? Do you want to practice new drawing and painting skills in a group of fellow artists? During this Gateways class, Middle School students work independently on personal projects or on a project inspired by a daily skill-based warm-up. You are encouraged to bring your own supplies or sketchbook if you have something you are already working on. If not, some supplies will be available!

Storybook STEM
Grades: K-3
Get ready for some after school adventures that get students reading, building, and innovating. Each day, we will listen to a read-aloud story that sets the stage for a STEM challenge. Students will brainstorm, plan, and create to solve a task using different materials. Come boost your STEM skills in a fun and engaging environment.
Be a Linguist: The Science of Language

Uncover the secrets of language and how it shapes our world! From AI and crime-solving to international competitions, linguistics is more than just words—it’s a puzzle waiting to be solved. In this Gateways, we will learn about how linguistics is used every day and you'll tackle language challenges, decode patterns, and maybe even crack a mystery!

Animal Fun
Grades: K-2
Step into a world of animal awesomeness! This class is a safari of fun, with games, books, crafts, world travel and much more—all centered around our furry, feathered, and scaly animal friends. Students will have the chance to share their favorite animals, pets, and even imaginary animals!
Gardening Group
Grades: 2-5
Join us for a hands-on gardening adventure as we plant and care for native species around the Lower School! In this club, students will learn about the importance of native plants, help create thriving habitats, and get their hands dirty while making a real impact on our school environment. Be ready to dig, plant, and have fun!
Clay Monsters
Grades: 2-5
Students will learn clay-building techniques and fundamentals to create their own animal or monster! Come get your hands dirty and make some memories.
News Team
Grades: 3-5
Join the Lower School news team! Each week we will record a broadcast to be shown in homerooms on Monday or Tuesday morning. The news will cover things like weather, lunch menus, Lower School events, interviews with teachers and students, and so much more. Bring your own ideas to the team… And action! This program meets from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
