Fourteen Bryn Mawr students have been selected to Maryland All State choral and instrumental ensembles. These prestigious groups are selected by the Maryland Music Educators Association following auditions and are open to all students in Maryland, including public and independent schools.
After being nominated by a music educator, each student auditions udition for their grade level and content-specific groups. Auditions were graded by music educators from around the state. The audition process began in October, with thousands of students auditioning from around the state.
For the second time in three years, Alice Li ’25 has been named the All State harpist, the only harpist in the ensemble for the entire state of Maryland. In addition to placement in the Senior Mixed Chorus, Jenna Bruning ’25 was also named as an alternate to the Senior Commercial Band, where she is one of only seven singers selected statewide.
