Members of the Class of 2023 Sign Letters of Intent and Likely Letters
Seven members of the Class of 2023 signed National Letters of Intent and two signed a ‘likely letter’ as is customary of Ivy League institutions to continue their athletic careers at the Division One collegiate level. Seniors, their coaches and families gathered for a ceremony this morning to sign their letters and celebrate.
Of the seniors who signed letters today, three will be swimming in college, four will be playing lacrosse and one will be playing field hockey.
Alex de Jesus - College of William and Mary, Field Hockey
JJ Suriano - University of Maryland, Lacrosse
Merrill Watson - Princeton University, Lacrosse
Reese Woodworth - Duke University, Lacrosse
Assistant Director of Athletics Molly Wolf ’12 said “What an incredible accomplishment for our Mawrtian student athletes! Only seven percent of high school students will continue their careers and play a sport in college. This is an impressive feat that speaks volumes about the dedication and drive that you all have for your sports. Congratulations, and we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish on the fields, in the pool and in the classrooms!”
