New Board of Trustees Members

Sandy Cho ’92 is a physician and partner at the Tarantino Cho Eye Center in Glen Burnie, MD.  After graduating from Bryn Mawr in 1992, she attended Princeton University and then New York University School of Medicine.  She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and a fellowship at the Tufts-New England Medical Center/Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. Since returning to Baltimore, she has served on The Bryn Mawr School Alumnae Board and as a mentor with the Baltimore Girls School Leadership Coalition.  She and her husband Joe have two daughters at Bryn Mawr, Caitlyn ’26 and Madeline ‘28.

 

Nicole Foster ’02 serves as the VP of Global Marketing for Amazon Photos, a new business unit, where she manages a team of 20 to serve 50 million active users, while also leveraging strategic partnerships with clients including Disney, iHeart Media, NFL and NBA. Nicole is proud to have started her career in the classroom and has spent much of her adult life leading community-focused transformation. After graduating from Bryn Mawr, Nicole attended University of Maryland, College Park graduating with a B.A. in government and politics. She also received a Masters Degree in education from Pace University. In addition, Nicole is a graduate of Columbia Business School’s Business Acceleration Program and a Teach for America NYC alum.

 

Kiana Hebron ’95 is an ordained, non-denominational interfaith minister and currently works full-time as a professional wedding officiant, having performed over 1,200+ weddings over the past 8 years for couples throughout DC, Maryland, Virginia and beyond. After graduating from Bryn Mawr, Kiana was awarded a full academic scholarship to Morgan State University, where she received a B.S. in biology in 1999. She then worked at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine/Howard Hughes Medical Institute and later went on to pursue graduate studies at the University of Maryland. As an alumnae leader, Kiana sits on the Bryn Mawr Community Equity and Inclusion committee to the Board of Trustees, as well as the Alumnae Board. As such, she has been very influential in inspiring other alumnae to give back and engage with their alma mater.  

 

Tom is a retired architect with over 45 years of experience in the Baltimore region. He attended The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in aeronautical and astronautical engineering and Carnegie Mellon University where he received a Master of Architecture. Specializing in the design of educational facilities, specifically independent schools, Tom led teams responsible for master planning of over 50 schools throughout the United States including the 2006 and 2013 Master Plan updates for The Bryn Mawr School. For the past 25 years, Tom has been a frequent contributor at regional and national conferences related to school facility design. In addition to ongoing residential design, Tom spends his time assisting numerous boards and community organizations where he shares his interest in sustainable design and historic preservation. His daughters Kate Spies Guyton ‘94 and Meg Spies Freeman '01 and granddaughter Lucy Guyton ‘27 have kept Tom happily connected to Bryn Mawr.

 

Alisha Caruso is the computer science teacher and technology integrator in the Lower School.  She is the faculty-nominated representative to the Board of Trustees for Little and Lower Schools. Alisha attended Towson University for both her undergraduate and graduate programs.  Prior to Bryn Mawr she taught kindergarten and second grade in Baltimore County Public Schools. In recognition of her ability to motivate students’ interest, curiosity and love of learning in their subject, Alisha was honored with Bryn Mawr’s Apgar Award for Teaching Excellence in 2017. She and her husband, Chris, live in Towson with their two dogs.
