A mid-fall athletics update from Assistant Athletic Director Molly Wolf '12.
Fall sports at Bryn Mawr are off to an incredible start! Our varsity field hockey team defeated cross street rivals RPCS in the Cup Game, scoring six goals while holding RPCS to a shutout. We were able to bring home the coveted cup for the fourth year in a row! JV field hockey is off and running- spearheaded by captains Sue Yim, Elizabeth Mills, Julianna Bartlett. Tennis is boasting a 3-1 record this season and dominating their opponents. They take on St. Paul's, NDP, and RPCS for their final three meets. of the season Cross Country had three runners place in the top 20 at the Spiked Shoe Invitational, and ran a successful meet beating both Maryvale and John Carroll. Coming off a huge win over AACS, scoring eight goals, varsity soccer has six games left in their season and are looking to continue their win streak. JV soccer defeated Mt.DeSales 1-0 and is looking forward to the next meeting against Glenelg. Varsity volleyball has fought hard all season, going toe to toe with the RPCS squad earlier this month. JV volleyball holds a 3-3 record, most recently defeating Catholic High School. Bryn Mawr student athletes have been extremely successful on the field and in the classroom, and we wish all teams the best of luck as we round the corner to the end of the fall season!
