The Bryn Mawr community is invited to join Dr. Howard Stevenson, author of Promoting Racial Literacy in Schools: Differences That Make A Difference, for a virtual event on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 7 p.m. RSVP here and a Zoom link will be shared prior to the event.
Dr. Howard Stevenson is the Constance Clayton Professor of Urban Education, Professor of Africana Studies, in the Human Development & Quantitative Methods Division of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the Executive Director of the Racial Empowerment Collaborative, designed to promote racial literacy in education, health, and community institutions. Dr. Stevenson’s research focuses on helping children and adults assert themselves during face-to-face microaggressions.
The event is presented by The Bryn Mawr School, Boys’ Latin, Friends School of Baltimore, Gilman School and Roland Park Country School.
